HBO released the third teaser for the highly anticipated series, The Idol. BLACKPINK member Jennie will make her Hollywood debut with the show.
By Bhavna Agarwal: HBO’s original series, The Idol, is all set for release in 2023. The show will see many stars making a cameo appearance, including BLACKPINK member Jennie. Jennie’s participation in the HBO series is one of the major highlights. The third teaser for the show was dropped on social media on October 7 and just two or three glimpses of Jennie were enough to leave BLINKS in anticipation. The details of Jennie’s role in The Idol are unknown, but from whatever can be gathered, it looks like a bold, challenging, grey character.
BLACKPINK MEMBER JENNIE IN ‘THE IDOL’
In the teaser, Jennie is seen entering a club with Lily-Rose Depp, and in another, she is seen being excited about something in an office space. There is a certain level of intrigue that the makers have built about Jennie’s appearance. The show was created by The Weeknd and Sam Levinson of Euphoria. The Idol focuses on the romance between a talented pop singer, Jocelyn, and a peculiar cult leader. In the series, Lily-Rose plays the role of Jocelyn. On the other hand, The Weeknd is the cult leader.
ABOUT ACTOR JENNIE
Apart from Jennie, the show will see Troye Sivan, Dan Levy, and Mike Dean, among others, making special appearances too.
BLACKPINK’s Jennie has been credited as Jennie Ruby Jane, in The Idol teasers. It isn’t clear if she will be playing herself in the show.
