Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey was found dead inside her hotel room on March 26 in Varanasi, where she was staying during the filming of her movie, Laik Hoon Main Nalaik Nahin . The 25-year-old actress is suspected to have died by suicide, but no suicide note was found at the scene.
The police had been conducting raids to locate two suspects, Samar Singh and Sanjay Singh, who were believed to be involved, but were initially out of reach. However, in a recent development, Samar has been apprehended by the authorities in Ghaziabad.
Samar Singh Arrested:
Akanksha’s alleged partner and singer, Samar, has been arrested in Ghaziabad. Her mother, Madhu Dubey, had accused Samar of abetting her daughter’s suicide, after which he had gone missing.
Additionally, Madhu had also named Samar’s brother, Sanjay, as a co-accused in the complaint. A lookout notice has been issued for Sanjay, who is yet to be located. According to reports, Samar had intended to leave the country, but the authorities were made aware of his plans and informed all airports to identify him and prevent him from leaving.
The Varanasi police have presented Samar in front of the CJM court, requesting a 24-hour transit remand. Madhu disclosed that on March 21, Sanjay, had threatened to harm Akanksha, and the actress herself had reported this threat to her mother during a phone conversation.
According to the Sarnath police station SHO, Dharmpal Singh, an FIR has been lodged against Samar and his brother on allegations of abetting suicide and other pertinent charges.
Akanksha, after the completion of her shoot in Varanasi, had checked into the Sarnath Hotel. Tragically, she was discovered dead in her hotel room.
Just hours before the actress is said to have taken her own life, she reportedly broadcasted on Instagram Live. According to accounts, Akanksha became extremely emotional during the Instagram Live.
